Primary election votes nearly double; results similar

Last-minute primary election votes continue to be added towards weekday updates of the King County election data. Total voter percentage has nearly doubled since last week’s low voter participation at 19.20 percent.

Still, overall results for District 6 remain similar.

While Weatbrook has stayed nearly right on her original 22.32 percent of votes, O’Brien has slightly risen from 57.96 percent of all district votes to 59.03 percent. O’Brien had won 7,371 votes of the initial ballot count and is currently totaled at 12,349.

Lisbin and Shaufler have both dropped by less than one percent in their overall voter percentages; Lisbin from 13.97 percent (-.84 percent) and Shaufler from 5.48 percent (-.22 percent).

Weekday updates began August 5th after the primary election results were released the night of August 4th. District 6 updates are released every weekday after 4:30 p.m. here.
