A local jewelry design duo will soon open Baleen, which will replace Laura Bee Designs in Ballard at 6418 20th Ave NW. Baleen is owned by Ballard designers Leah and Billy, who create handmade jewelry and other gifts and lifestyle goods.

“We love living in Ballard and are super excited to bring what has been a home-studio based business for the last 3 years into a public space, as well as be more of a part of the local community,” Leah and Billy tell us. They say they’re working to give the space a facelift and will be open by mid October.
