The My Ballard team is excited to announce that Leslie Pierson, owner of Ballard store Retrofitted Designs, has taken out the top title in the Today Show’s “Next Big Thing” competition with her product Good Hangups.
As we reported yesterday, Pierson designed the magnetic hanging system for posters and art which subsequently caught the eye of Today Show producers. The product is a true creation of the community, which was both designed locally and promoted through a video that was produced in the neighborhood by a number of Ballardites.

As a prize for winning the competition, Pierson will have her product featured on the QVC’s show “Saturday Morning Gifts” on Saturday, October 3.
“I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am that so many from the Ballard community made this possible by voting yesterday,” says Pierson.
