  • Viking Disco Membership Drive  at The Swedish Club (1920 Dexter Ave N) from 8 p.m. Your chance to get your groove on once again, Viking style. Tickets $25.

    • Keith and The Girl Podcast/Comedy Show at at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) at 6 p.m. Presale tickets available.
    • Austin Honky Tonk Hero Dale Watson and His Lone Stars with Darci Carlson at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $20.
    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St). 200 Trio & Friends, with Cole Schuster (guitar), Greg Feingold (bass) and Max Holmberg (drums). 9 p.m. No cover.
    • John Lennon Birthday Tribute at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $10.

SATURDAY, October 10:

  • Heron Habitat Helpers Native Plant Sale at Kiwanis Ravine Overlook (36th Ave W and W Ohman Place) on  from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All proceeds go to HHH.
  • Ballard Street Scrabble Tournament at the intersection of 17th Ave NW and NW Dock Place from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Ballard Art Walk will be in full swing at venues all over the neighborhood from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The monthly event will showcase local painting, glass art, sculpture, performance and more.
  • The Bee Story exhibition of original art and fashion at Anima Mundi (5410 22nd Ave NW) from 6 p.m.

    • Smoking Bill Album Release at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $8.
    • PDX Indie Folk- Horse Feathers with River Whyless at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $15.
    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St). 9 p.m. Don Berman’s Wayne Shorter Tribute group with Don Berman (drums), Jim Knodle (trumpet), Sylvia Rollins (bass) and Tom Volpicella (guitar). Tickets $8.
    • The Young Evils, Bread and Butter and Boyfriends at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $8.
