A fundraising event will be held at Hilliard’s (1550 NW 49th St) to support Seattle-based non-profit The Borgen Project this Thursday, January 14, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The Bergen Project is an innovative national campaign that works with U.S. leaders to improve their response to the global poverty crisis.

Each week Cara Kuhlman writes articles about global poverty for the project and she will be sharing her experience and information with the community over a pint at Hilliard’s.

A portion of all pints sold goes to The Borgen Project and Das Brat Wagen food truck will also be on hand to serve up tasty treats.

RSVP to the event on Facebook.

  1. Very interesting event! I want to know if it is held every year or it was a one-time event?
    Can anyone share any information?

  2. I went to their site and I see that they continue to function. Their blog has articles for March 24 and 23 about the diversity of countries and the fight against poverty there. But I found nothing about the organization’s activities in Seattle. I also want to say that it is very cool that they are promoting the anti-poverty movement. I also recommend that you take a look at this article source as there is a lot of material on this topic and it will be useful for you to read it. I would like to add that this resource can be useful for students who need help with writing texts. I recommend you take a look!
