Safe and valuables stolen from home on 75th

A local resident reported a break in at their Ballard home on the Nextdoor community website.

The break in occurred at their family home at the intersection of NW 75th St and 30th Ave NW on Saturday, March 5, between 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

According to the report, thieves gained access to the home through the basement door and took valuables from the master bedroom.

“The stinker of it all is that we thought we were being smart by storing all our ‘valuables’ in a 100lb safe in our closet. Well they ended up taking the safe with them. Lesson learned – bolt down your safe,” writes the resident.
