Ballard Library to offer jobseeker course

Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) will offer a six-week workshop series for job seekers interested in re-entering the workforce from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Tuesday from March 22 through April 26.

The Library has partnered with WorkSource Seattle-King County to offer six workshops focused on obtaining work after having left the workforce for a time period. Attendees are encouraged to attend all six sessions, but the workshops may be attended separately.

A resource specialist from WorkSource will be available after each workshop to answer questions.

Workshop dates and topics include:

  • Tuesday, March 22: Identifying & Overcoming Barriers
  • Tuesday, March 29: Basic Life/Workplace Skills
  • Tuesday, April 5: Career Development & Job Search
  • Tuesday, April 12: Resume & Correspondence
  • Tuesday, April 19: Interviewing Skills
  • Tuesday, April 26: The Employer’s Perspective
