SATURDAY, April 30

• Huge Recycling Event at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church (NW 85th Street and 25th Ave NW) from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Locals can bring all of their unwanted electronic items, metal, styrofoam and clothing.
• Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat Drama Story in partnership with Seattle Children’s Theatre at Secret Garden Books (2214 NW Market St) at 11 a.m. SCT theatre artists will perform an interactive Drama Story from the show currently running on SCT’s main stage.
• Heron Chicks Hatching Party organized by Heron Habitat Helpers at Commodore Park (3330 W Commodore Way) from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. The team will have telescopes set up, naturalists on hand, and a huge birthday cake to welcome this year’s chicks! Event is free.
• Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at Secret Garden Books (2214 NW Market St) and become an Independent Bookstore Day Champion!
