Tumble Swede, the culinary side project of the Old Ballard Liquor Co. distillery, will be popping up twice in July at local Seattle food festivals.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase Seattle’s Nordic roots and will serve up a variety of hot and cold street food dishes,” says OBLC owner and Tumble Swede organizer Lexi.

At this weekend’s SeafoodFest, Tumble Swede will be representing Old Ballard cuisine with two different booths; one hot food and one cold sandwich booth.

The team will be serving up the delicacies including the Swedish Shrimp Sandwich, the Danish Pickled Herring Sandwich, Smoked-then-Fried Herring  and Tunnebrödsrulle.

The Tumble Swede team is also excited to be working with Cray-Cray Crawfish, who aim to introduce local crayfish back into the local food scene.

“Local fisherman Terje Kvinge is the only person commercially fishing local crawfish, and they’re HUGE! Much bigger and sweeter than the imported Louisiana species. This is the first ever debut of local crawfish at this festival,” says Lexi.
