Les Schwab hosts diaper drive

Through the end of the month Ballard Les Schwab Tire Center (5000 15th Ave NW) is partnering with local non-profit WestSide Baby to host Seattle’s largest diaper drive.

The 16th Annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive aims to gather more than 300,000 diapers to support local families in need.

Residents are encouraged to buy a pack of diapers and drop it off at the store.

“There are more than 10,000 children under the age of three living in poverty in King County. These children will need 22 million diapers every year. Unfortunately, many families are forced to choose between buying diapers and paying bills, as diapers are not covered by any government aid programs, including food stamps,” says WestSide Baby’s Executive Director Nancy Woodland.

Locals are welcome to drop off diapers during Les Schwab’s regular business hours from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
