The Nordic Heritage Museum will start a new chapter in the museum’s history during the groundbreaking celebration at the location of the new museum at 2655 NW Market St.
The new, modern 57,875-sq. ft. museum and cultural center will include a refined layout and expanded exhibition and educational spaces to compliment the myriad programs and events that Nordic Heritage Museum produces.
In addition to the core exhibition galleries, an auditorium, museum store, café, classrooms, and cultural resource center will be included in the new building.
With the groundbreaking and a public funding campaign set for this summer, opening ceremonies for the newly completed building are set for early 2018.
“Members of the public are invited to attend the groundbreaking celebration and take part in this momentous event as the museum looks towards a bright future,” says the team from the Nordic Heritage Museum.
The ceremony is set for Saturday, July 30, at 3 p.m. Attendees should RSVP at nordicmuseum.org or by contacting Kelsey Svaren at firstname.lastname@example.org or 206.789.5707 extension 24.
