Seattle Public Library seeks local feedback on website redesign

The Seattle Public Library is improving www.spl.org to make it easier to find and use Library resources.

The Library is looking for local feedback to ensure the project is a success.

Until Tuesday, October 25, locals are encouraged to complete the Library’s website survey.

Survey responses will help the Library create a website that provides better access to its collection of books and materials, educational classes and services, as well as to librarian assistance.

One key investment area specified in the 2012 Library levy was improving computer and online services, which included upgrading the Library website. The website was last redesigned in 2003.

The Library’s expectations for the new site is that it will be flexible, intuitive and will continue to evolve as the needs of patrons change.

The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed in late 2017.
