$100 reward offered for stolen electric cargo trike

A unique custom-built electric cargo tricycle was stolen from Fremont Brewing Company on May 30, and the owners are offering a $100 reward for its return.

The electric trike has a small white cart attached to the back, which reads “Impact Bioenergy”. Owner Michael Smith says it’s powered  by the “HORSE” (High-solids Organic-waste Recycling System with Electrical output), which is a machine that turns food waste into renewable energy and organic biofertilizer, according to Smith. Its fuel economy is one mile per pound (mpp) of food waste.

If you have any information about the HORSE trike, contact Smith at 425-773-2231 or email michael.s@impactbioenergy.com.
