Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church to host recycling event in October

On Saturday, Oct. 14, Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church will hold their twice-yearly recycling event. The free event will be held from 9am to 3pm in the church parking lot at  25th Ave NW and NW 85th St.

From Our Redeemer’s:

Clean out your basement and garage and get rid of all those unwanted electronic items*, styrofoam and clothing. Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church is partnering with Living Green Technology for an E-recycling event, open to the public. *PLEASE NOTE: This event is different from events held at Our Redeemer’s in the past; they are no longer accepting metals and appliances.  Living Green Technology accepts only electronics for recycling. The EarthCare Team at Our Redeemer’s will be on hand to collect clean, dry styrofoam (please remove all tape and labels; they cannot accept hot tub covers, insulating foam or anything that is dirty, wet or has been left outside).

They’ll also accept gently used clothing for The Bridge Care Center. All items should be dropped off no earlier than 9am on the day of the event. The volunteers manning the event will be the Our Redeemer’s Youth, who will be accepting donations to help them attend the National Youth Gathering in June 2018.
