If you have any old tools that are gathering dust in your garage, you might want to consider donating them to the Ballard Tool Library. They’ll be stocking their library (7549B 15th Ave NW) on Thursday, October 26 at 6pm.
Tools that are in need include garden tools, crafting and cooking tools. All donations are tax-deductible. The tool drive is also their free Repair Cafe Night – happening the fourth Thursday of every month – during which volunteers can help with projects or repairs and advice. “We’ll have volunteer specialists skilled in fixing and maintaining a range of items, as well as tools for you to use during the Cafe. No signup needed, first come, first served,’ according to Sustainable Ballard. They can help with machine and hand sewing; knitting/crochet repairs; electrical repairs; mending ceramic, wood, metal; eyeglass repairs; computer diagnostics, and more.
If you want to learn more or sign up to be a volunteer, email ballardtoollibrary@gmail.com.
