Caffe Umbria and Volterra raising money for Medic One Foundation

Local cafes Volterra and Caffe Umbria are raising money for the medical first responders through the Hot Shot Crew Challenge, an online competition in which the winning team’s fire department will receive $10,000 in life-saving medical equipment.

The voting for the competition costs $10 per vote, which will also earn you a free coffee at Volterra or Caffe Umbria with proof of your vote.

“Charitable contributions are the sole source of support for training our region’s Medic One Paramedics who are the First Responders to life threatening emergencies and are among the most highly trained in the world,” Michelle Quisenberry from Volterra tells My Ballard. “With recent catastrophes in Houston, Las Vegas, Sonoma, Puerto Rico, Florida and beyond, we  believe supporting our first responders is more critical than ever before.”

Voting is open from October 18-27. For more information or to vote for the Volterra/Umbria team, click here.
