The Luminata Lantern Festival to celebrate the autumnal equinox is coming soon, and the organizers are seeking additional artists, musicians, and performers to sign up. The festival, organized by the Fremont Arts Council, is on Saturday, September 22 at Green Lake, and artist applications are due on September 12.
“Do you have an illuminated creation or performance piece swimming in your mind, in progress, or created and itching to get out into the world? The Fremont Arts Council is seeking proposals for large-scale art installations, movable creations, experiences, and performances,” they write on their website.
The all-ages festival includes a lantern procession around Green Lake, which culminates with art, live acoustic music and hot cider. The nighttime event will happen from 7 to 10pm.
