Loyal Heights Playfield turf replacement project open house

Loyal Heights Playfield’s aging turf field will soon get a makeover — Seattle Parks will host a community meeting next week to talk about the project. The meeting is on Monday, Sept. 10 from 6 to 7pm at the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St).

The project is aimed at improving ADA access to the park and replacing the 11-year-old turf playfield, which Seattle Parks says has “reached the end of its intended service life”.

The new and improved synthetic turf system will be installed next summer. During the construction, Seattle Parks will close the field and exterior restrooms at the playfield. The city is also seeking public input on how residents use the park; click here to participate in a short survey.
