Six Ballard High films nominated for national award show

Ballard High School film students are getting some much deserved recognition for their talents: several films have been nominated for national film production awards.

The National Academy of Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has nominated six BHS students’ films for National Student Production Awards. There were nine total regional nominees, selected from four northwestern states and Alaska. The awards will be live-streamed on Facebook from Emerson College’s LA campus this Thursday, Oct. 18 at noon, hosted by Tom Bergeron from Dancing with the Stars.

  • Best Audio/Sound: Paul, Dark, and Handsome, Audio by Cole Kastner
  • Best Writer: Richard, Writing by Wylie Soltes

Behind every outstanding program at BHS there is an outstanding teacher. Kudos to Matt Lawrence for his commitment to this program and to his students.
