The Ballard High School Beavers will start their basketball season today with their first game against Auburn Riverside at BHS this afternoon. The freshmen (JVC) game begins at 4:15, JV is at 5:45 and varsity kicks off at 7:15 p.m.
Back again this year will be the live broadcasts on community radio station KBFG (107.3 FM and streaming here), with tonight’s broadcast starting with the first game at 4pm.
Head coach and math teacher Mike Broom is back again this year to lead the varsity team. Ballard alum Brad Baker is coaching the JV team and alum Ron Coacher is leading the JVCs.

When I was a kid out BHS, our coach made us practice hard. Nowadays, the kids just play basketball video games and they think it will make them a good player. IT WON’T!!!
