Original: Police are looking for a Ballard High School employee who has been charged with child molestation and sexual misconduct.
According to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Meghan Miller, who has worked as a teaching assistant and girls soccer coach, has been charged with child molestation in the third degree, and two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Her arraignment is scheduled for January 3, and there’s a warrant out for her arrest. Any information about her whereabouts should be directed to law enforcement.
Seattle Public Schools sent the below message to families of students at BHS:
Student safety is our top priority at Seattle Public Schools. When we learned of the allegation, we immediately reported it to Seattle Police. SPS will fully support the investigation as needed. Because the alleged victim is a student, out of respect for their privacy we will not provide additional details.
Students were also sent a text message alert with details on how to contact police with information, and where to seek support if needed.
