Seattle Symphony and BHS orchestra to play free all-Scandinavian program

The Seattle Symphony is joining with the Ballard High Chamber Orchestra to play a Scandinavian-themed concert on Friday.

On March 1, the symphony and orchestra will perform Wirén’s jovial Serenade for Strings paired with Grieg’s charismatic Peer Gynt Suite, which “will wrap you in a Scandinavian springtime mood”, the event info reads.

The conductors for the concert will be Pablo Rus Broseta, associate conductor of the Seattle Symphony and music director of the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana; and Elizabeth Fortune, director of Orchestras at Seattle’s Ballard High School.

The concert will be in the BHS gymnasium, and is free to all. The show starts at 7:30pm.
