Man arrested after early morning standoff

A man was arrested after police standoff in Ballard early this morning.

Lauri Miller (AKA Silver) first reported the standoff in the My Ballard Group at 4am this morning.

According to Seattle Police, officers responded to a residence near 24th Ave NW and NW 57th St after a man threatened to harm someone. The man, believed to be in his late 20s, had armed himself with a pistol and refused to come out of the house.

Police set off a flashbang, a distraction device, and were able to get him to come out of the house just after 5am, when he was arrested by police.

Thanks to Lauri and Eric for providing updates in the My Ballard Group

  1. I’m guessing he will not be prosecuted. Absolutely insane. How much longer are we going to tolerate the no-action City Prosecutor’s office? Thank you, SPD.

One block from the commons. Coincidence? No.

    1. If only he wore a MAGA hat, then he’d not receive that new puppy, 2 get out of jail cards, and nothing on his record. The cops can only do so much after being neutered a few years back by Eric Holder and his boss.

  2. Let’s hope MyBallard or its readers follow up on this. My guess is that Pete Holmes’ office will not prosecute but I prefer to learn the facts as they unfold.

    1. My guess is that Pete Holmes’ office will not prosecute…

So in the same sentence you mention that you “prefer to learn the facts as they unfold” and also make a completely unfounded accusation?

      Nice!

          1. My work is at least on par with those six figure salary city employees who spend all day finding imaginary racism/sexism/homoblahblah to sue over. Your comrades at City Hall excel at mediocrity.

          2. Oh Harley, you were so close to winning that mayoral race! Then YOU could have been the mediocre one at City Hall!

          3. Ah good, you’re back to calling all the conservatives/independents “Harley Lever”. Keep honking that clown horn, Truth!

          4. I never stopped calling you Harley, Harley. You’re my one and only Harley, Harley!

            XOXO,
            Truth

          5. Buck dreams to be a Harley Lever but he’s no where near clever or controlled enough to be able to leave the house and rant at the same time.

        1. So you’re waiting until facts unfold, but you’re still “guessing” based on zero evidence, also known as speculating, but it’s not accusing, so it’s ok? Got it.

          1. Fun fact: Mayor Durkan’t manhandled one of her employees during a heated exchange over a proposed flyer celebrating Mr. Donnie Chin (brave man who loved his neighborhood, btw, all ye Ballard cucks) who got killed by junkie hobos in Chinatown. This stuff writes itself.

          2. It’s not “accurate” because it hasn’t happened yet. That’s how guessing works.
Would you like to make a wager on this?

          3. Considering the only information available is “a man in a house refused to come out”, I don’t have anywhere near enough information to even take an educated guess about what he could be charged with, whether he could be proven guilty or what his sentence (suspended or not) could be.

You, however, seem to know enough to “guess” that the City Prosecutor will refuse to charge him.

So clearly you must have some insider information to make such an educated “guess” that I wouldn’t want to wager against.

          4. Never attempt to speak reason to the unreasonable. Our little Red friends would rather be hurt victims than reasonable, healthy adults capable of comprehending the many facets of community living.
