There’s a new restaurant going in on the corner of 73rd and 15th, filling the location where Medina Gyro used to operate.
It’s called Sazon Kitchen — you may recognize the name from their popular Mexican food truck, Sazon Tacos — and they’ve been busy remodeling the restaurant in preparation for their opening.

Sazon co-owner Aldo Gongora tells My Ballard that the restaurant will serve breakfast and lunch from 7am to 3pm, and the taco truck will be open on site from 11am to 10pm. The restaurant menu will include “just a touch of Mexican breakfast”, with bread from Macrina Bakery and coffee from Caffe Vita roasters. The taco truck will have their regular taqueria menu.
Aldo says they hope to be open in early to mid May. In the meantime, you can follow them on Facebook as they get ready to open.
Looks absolutely delicious, cant wait!
