Police searching for Fremont bidet thief

In a bizarre attempt to earn some money, a man tried to steal $15,000 worth of bidets from a Fremont toilet supply store.

According to the SPD Blotter, in March, a man called the store and ordered 10 high-end bidet toilet seats, which are valued at $1,500 each. After the store sent the shipment on April 10th, they learned that the purchase was made with a fraudulent credit card. Not long after, they found the bidets listed on Offer Up, and notified police on April 25th.

Police then contacted the seller and set up a meeting to buy the bidets at a package shipping store.

This is where things get a little complicated: the man who originally ordered the bidets had them sent to the package shipping store, but never turned up to retrieve them. So when police arrived to the store, expecting to find the suspect who had ordered the bidets, instead it was a shipping store employee who thought they could make some cash by posting the bidets for sale online.

Police seized the bidets and returned them to the Fremont toilet supply store. They say they’re still looking for the original toilet seat scammer.

  1. “high-end” droll

I see our crack team of local police weren’t able to outsmart the toilet thief who used his/her galaxy brain to have the toilets drop-shipped.

    1. Yeah, what we really needed was an armchair troll with an anger problem to post ad infinitum about how everything s*cks now. Hag, you’re alright, thats exactly how we make the world a better place. We should all follow your example! #MAGA

      1. Too funny. What we need are less of the you’s and more people who are NOT so conditioned or dumbed down. Does it really have to take your stuff stolen, or worse to change your thought patterns? You see, we are all not a bunch of mind numbed robot liberals, and do get tired of what’s becoming “normal”. Butt hurt over Trump. Too effing bad, so sad. Check your IRA, the GDP, the economy. The real hate is what you drones bring.
