Police arrest two men following a fight and shots fired at Fremont 7-Eleven

Police have arrested two men following an altercation with shots fired outside the Fremont 7-Eleven late Monday night.

The incident was first thought to be an armed robbery, but according to SPD, the skirmish happened in the parking lot of the convenience store.

Just before 10pm, a parking enforcement officer reported that a man had fired a gun outside the 7-Eleven convenience store.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspect and victim had already fled. The 7-Eleven clerk told police that two groups of men had gotten into a fight and one man had pulled out a baseball bat and smashed the window of the other vehicle. The vehicle owner then pulled out a handgun and fired five rounds, striking two nearby cars.

After searching the area, police found and arrested the 23-year-old man with the baseball bat for an unrelated warrant. He confirmed the fight and gave details about the gunman, saying he’d fled in a red Dodge SUV.

Police found the SUV hours later, driving in the 14300 block of Linden Ave N with its lights off. The driver, an 18-year-old man, turned out to be the gunman, and was arrested.

Both men are now booked into King County Jail.

      1. I lived directly across the street from a 7-11 for 13 years in Wallingford and the worst thing that ever happened was a bum smashing the movie vending machine and some dingdong going into the wrong gear and driving into a window. Oh, and the bum fights over 40 oz cans, etc. Never a shooting, never a knifing, no assault-oriented crimes that ever made my radar. So yeah, stuff happens but getting shot and listening to bums bitch about who gets the last sip are different orders of magnitude.

    1. Blah blah blah. The cops hands have been tied behind their backs. Judges are liberals and softies. Your city council is a joke. We are all witnessing the results of insanity, Seattle style. Durkan claimed being a “woman” meant she was special and things would change just because of her gender. It’s apparent that liberals are perfect, just forgiven.

      1. Blah blah, damn liberals, cops hands are tied, council is a joke, insanity, Durkin’s fault, conservatives are just innocent victims. If you were truly concerned and honestly cared, you’d actually do something to improve and help the community you live in, not just whine, blame others, play the victim, and be a miserable repetitive troll.

      2. As I said – “Thanks to SPD for taking care of this. They are doing their best to keep us safe.”

Paintking, what are you doing to change this other than whining about it?

        1. Paintking is a sad, pathetic sock puppet run by a lonely troll with zero life whatsoever, so they post their anger and hate here every damn day. Yeesh. Get a freaking life, boring ass old angry person.

      3. Paintking, Miami has a Republican mayor, conservative judges and yet is one of the most crime ridden cities in the country. How do you explain that? When did Durkan ever say that being a woman “made her special” and did you think she was going to catch every criminal in the city with her vagina? Do you believe that these young men with guns acquired them because of a liberal city council or maybe could it be to a strong gun lobby and a corrupt group that is beholden to them in DC?

        1. I agree with Freja, with all the economic inequality in this city it would be wrong to imprison people for simply being poor. Imagine yourself in that situation please.

        2. Freja is so woke she never saw Miami Vice.

Gee I wonder if your liberal no-borders policy has something do with the crime in our southern regions? Nope, must be old white conservative farmers, working taxpayers, and the NRA causing all of it in between their 6am field time or double shifts in woke office hell. Hey, tell me more about how safe it is in Northern Mexico. I’ll wait over here.

      4. There’s a little black spot on the blog today
It’s the same whining as yesterday
There’s some homeless camped out in Ballard parks
There’s a robbery and the crime won’t stop
I have stood here before the city council’s chairs
With words of pure anger running through my hairs
I guess I’m always hoping Trump would end this reign
But it’s my destiny to be the King of Paint

  1. Wow…..Amp it up Fremont and Ballard ….. I’m waiting for armed citizens to start shooting these vagrants ! Just a matter of time folks ……
