A unique fixture on Ballard Ave has gone missing: someone has stolen the barber pole and fake roasted pig that was mounted on the side of Bitterroot BBQ.
Bitterroot general manager Hannah Jo Carter wrote about the theft in the My Ballard Group:
“Dear Jerky McJerkface,” Carter writes. “It was super lame that you smashed our historic barber pole to steal our perfectly roasted pig (there is a great story behind the pig as he was my mom’s).”
“Lovely Ballardites,” she adds, “If you happen to see the Bitterroot BBQ pig out in the wild, we would love to have him back.”
