50 units proposed for narrow parking lot near Lenin statue

A skinny parking lot just across from the Lenin Statue in Fremont could turn unto a new apartment building.

According to the Seattle DJC, 50 units have been proposed to be developed on the lot, which belongs to the owners of the Fremont Village Square (3501 Fremont Ave N.

The owners are GEM Real Estate Partners, who bought the Fremont Village Square two years ago for $16.6 million.

It’s unclear whether the apartment building has parking in the plans, but if it’s anything like recent development, it’s unlikely.

  1. LOL. You people all are conditioned so well. Conditioned to ALL react a certain way and all say the same exact things. Please tell me what IS “affordable” in Seattle today? You all vote for them same people over and over getting your wallets broken into time and time again, expecting great results, yet NOTHING changes. Parking? The city does NOT care and wants YOU out of YOUR auto. This way they own just a bit more of you, your wallet, and your sanity. Density. Root word: dense. Yeah, we really need to be more like SF or Chicago, where 50 people were shot over the weekend and only 10 died. Great stuff.

    1. I mean, if you want parking there’s plenty of options to buy or rent that include parking. Just because you want parking doesn’t mean everyone wants parking and the market is reflecting that.

Not sure how the lack of parking is going to turn us into Chicago though. You lost me there.

Too bad it consists of trolling daily here, over and over.

        Such a sad life.

        1. You Libtards are on Twatter and Facebook 24hrs a day spewing your anti-American nonsense, promoting violence against our duly elected President, but oh no somebody spoke some truth on My Ballard – time to call him a “loser”. Grow up, Evergreen State Grads.

Stick to raising your cat babies and stop chattering when the men are talking, Soyboys.

You know somebody is over target when the pathetic “such a sad life” soy comments start up. Paintking is right. You live in an echo chamber and DemoCRAP “leadership” has turned Seattle into a world class junkie-and-taxation joke. The whole damn city bureaucracy is run like the DMV with the same type of worthless, overpaid, surly employees who got hired for looking good in one of the Mayor’s diversity photo tweets. COMEDY.
