The mural that’s been in the works at Obec Brewing is finally complete.
The artist and Obec employee Jordan Atkinson says it took over 200 hours to complete the 20-foot by 70-foot mural, plus an additional 50 hours to design and plan.
“It was by far the largest and most challenging piece of art I’ve ever done,” Jordan shared on Instagram.
“Since ‘Obec’ is the Czech word for community it seemed appropriate to draw inspiration from famous Czech artists like Alphonse Mucha. Pushing the marriage of that Art Nouveau style and the elements of beer into a relatively originally design was the goal.”

Beautiful work.
That’s cool.
Impressive work! Love it.
Yawn.
Paintking – are you bored? I wonder if you have ever painted anything like that? Did you check out Jordan’s website? Do you have any of your work on the web that we could see?
Very good, though I think a Mona Lisa smile would have been nice.
Amazing work- his website’s other murals are incredible too. And, with all appreciation and respect for our resident muralist Henry, it’s nice to have something to look at sometimes besides stoned Bigfoot(s) and molly’d out forest creatures, too.
