Conor Byrne concert to raise funds for Ballard P-Patch tomorrow

Tomorrow (Wednesday, August 21), Conor Byrne will host a fundraising concert to raise money to help save the Ballard P-Patch.

The P-Patch is in major fundraising mode to help the gardeners buy their half-acre plot at 8527 25th Ave NW. The garden, now in its 43rd year, will be sold to developers — unless the volunteers can raise $2 million. So far, they’ve raised $38,335 on their fundraising website.

The musical line-up on Wednesday night will be The High Seagrass, Julia Francis, and Diamondwolf, playing from 8pm to 11pm at Conor Byrne.

Tickets are $8 online or $10 at the door — proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the campaign to save the Ballard P-Patch.

    1. The term is “investment” pal. Perhaps you have a couple too? Why do people climb mountains? If I want vegetables I go to the store. There are also farmers markets every day too. Are these farmers also arriving in their horse and buggy’s with 8-track players?

        1. I believe the church needs money or renovations/repairs. As I understand it they have been letting the P-Patch use the land for a token payment and have offered them first right of refusal on the sale.
