Massage Envy Ballard to close its doors today

The Massage Envy near the corner of Market St and 15th will be closing for good at 3pm today.

According to an employee, the owners chose not to renew their lease at 1500 NW Market St, and the Ballard therapists will be moving over to the Queen Anne location.

Massage Envy is the second business to close in that building — just next door, Jimmy John’s shut their doors unexpectedly in late October.

The Queen Anne location is at 4 W Crockett St.

  1. The building common areas are a mess. The escalator to the parking garage never works, trash is everywhere. People lurking in the parking garage. Basically a dump.

    1. Seems like everything at the 15th/Market intersection is a dump – Walgreens, Safeway, this building, and oh, didn’t the Target already get vandalized? Yeah, we sure do have some vibrant community members who aren’t at all violent living among us.

      1. And some of these businesses are not all that interested in keeping their storefronts picked up. (see Safeway and Sherwin Williams on 14th)

        1. Go ahead and begin a citizen trash pick up business. Seems after taxing the S out of businesses and everything not tied down, our city leaders aren’t up to the job, and the greedy chumps have you buffaloed. Try blaming the people responsible FOR the messes and not the places it ends up. As a regular at the SW store, I will go in and yell at them, and ask them to hire more staff to keep up with the tiny % of our population crapping on everybody else.

I bet you’re a well respected person there!

  2. Envy is a mortal sin so not surprised to see them close. They’re actually lucky the earth itself did not open beneath the store and pull them straight down to Hell.
