5-story assisted-living building planned for Market St.

The new Aegis Living senior community planned for the corner of 11th Ave NW and NW Market St will likely be 5-stories with up to 93 units and 39 parking spots.

A design review meeting to go over the plans for the new assisted-living building has been scheduled for Jan. 6, 2020 at 6:30pm in the Ballard Community Center Sunset Room (6020 28th Avenue NW).

As we reported earlier this year, Aegis acquired the corner site (943 NW Market St) for $2.8 million. The senior community will replace a 4-bedroom, single-family home built in 1943.

Aegis is planning to offer both assisted living and memory care at their new Ballard location.

    1. Police raided that place at least 3 times in the past two years. Their power generator is also very noisy at all hours which is against the law, but City of Seattle never cared about that…

I understand that homeless people need a place to live but being homeless should be a temporary thing. I’d be ashamed if I caused problems with my neighbours for years.

  1. This is the house I grew up in. Until last month we lived there since 1996.
I’m a bit sad we couldn’t stay in Ballard but the home we moved to in Shoreline is pretty nice.

    1. mayamagica, It’s really sad and wrong that people like yourself are being priced out of the city, and so many folks can no longer afford to live in the city in which they work. :(
