Ballard Fitness Fest to bring together local fitness providers on Thursday

This Thursday, 11 different local fitness providers and gyms will come together for the Ballard Fitness Fest.

The event is being organized by Fleet Feet, the shoe store that opened in Old Ballard last year.

“Our store may be the new kid in the neighborhood, but having lived in Ballard all my life, I know first hand how our community feels like a small town,” Fleet Feet co-owner Andrea Morrison said. “The best way that Fleet Feet Ballard can support our small town is to help break down any barriers to health and fitness.”

The event will be open-house style, to be held Jan. 23 at Fleet Feet in Ballard (5404 22nd Ave NW) from 6pm to 8pm. There will be drinks, nibbles, giveaways, and free class passes to various gyms and studios.

The following fitness providers will be participating:

  • barre3 – Ballet Barre, Pilates & Yoga
  • BurnCycle – Spin
  • Girls on the Run of Puget Sound SoleMates Program
  • Fit36 – High Intensity Interval Training
  • Fleet Feet Ballard – Training Programs and Group Runs

  • Fresh Air Fitness – Outdoor Boot Camp at Golden Gardens
  • Olympic Athletic Club – Full Service Gym
  • Orangetheory Fitness Ballard- High Intensity Interval Training

      1. It’s not trolling to simply point out that a part of town is populated by woke white people so that they don’t have to live around minorities.

          1. I take it you are one of those that fled a diverse part of town to hang out with your fellow whites? Ouch…touched a nerve I guess.

          2. I take it you have such low self-esteem that you feel the need to stoop to trolling in a desperate attempt at making yourself feel better…and so easily triggered by someone pointing out your ignorance and inability to ever post anything intelligent.

        1. Nice, assuming that the reason people choose to live in a certain neighborhood is due solely to their racism. Schools, culture, restaurants, short commutes and family have nothing to do with it.

Please, do everyone a favor and delete your account!

          1. I’m sure it’s just coincidence that only white people signed up for the group above.

          2. no it’s not a coincidence. just as mostly Blacks signed up for the Garfield HS raffle. I envy your stupidity. It must be relieving not having to think?

          3. e2 – did you look at the people in the photo? I can see four people easily that are not Caucasian and there are others in the photo that probably are not what you would perceive as “white”. Why do you post these posts? Do you just want people to argue with you? Or are you really ignorant?

    1. My Grandmother came from Norway in 1889. Many did. Good thing there were zero E2’s back then. She didn’t sneak across any borders, breaking any laws. She didn’t come here asking goodies and being beholden to others. She did assimilate though and became an “American citizen”. Should I feel guilty today?

  1. E2 triggered AGAIN? OMG, how can we all now cope with ourselves, our esteem, our pride, our guilt, our whiteness? We do NOT value your hate here. Please seek help.
