How you can support My Ballard this holiday season

As with many small businesses, your local news source My Ballard is in need of support.

My Ballard has been reporting daily news for Ballard, Fremont and other North Seattle neighborhoods for over a decade, and it’s thrived with the support of local advertisers who help pay for operating costs and to employ an editor. Unfortunately, as many local businesses struggle to stay afloat, My Ballard’s advertising income has slowed to a trickle. Our audience, meanwhile, has been as big as ever: an average of 80,000 unique users visit MyBallard.com every month.

So in September, we launched a Patreon subscription option for readers, which has helped raise $776 in monthly donations to help keep My Ballard running. For those who have become a member, we are deeply grateful for your support.

Donating through Patreon is the perfect way to help ensure local news continues for North Seattle.

You can donate $5, $10, or $15 per month—or choose your own contribution. Any amount helps sustain to our local journalism, and it will ensure that My Ballard will survive the financial blow of the COVID-19 pandemic.
