Plans moving ahead for 5-story sleeping room apartment on 15th Ave NW

The new congregate residence apartment project plans for 1511 NW 51st St are inching forward.

Development plans for the corner lot—the home of Mac’s Upholstery—have been in the works since 2018. The project entails a 5-story, 7-unit congregate residents with 132 sleeping rooms and 4 live-work units. No parking is proposed in the plans.

The project is called PONTE, designed by Seattle-based Hybrid Architecture.

The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI) has made appealable decisions regarding design review and environmental impact; read more here. Appeals of the decisions must be received by the Hearing Examiner no later than Dec. 21, 2020.
