City asks for public input on Salmon Bay Park playground design

Salmon Bay Park’s play area is almost ready for construction but needs input from the community to finalize design plans.

Previously, Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) took 350 responses from the community about play area wants and needs and turned them into three concept designs.

SPR is encouraging this kind of participation and input again from Ballard residents in picking a design for the play area renovations. They ask that the community reviews the design slides here, and then fill out a short survey afterward, which can be found here.

A virtual “open house” will also be hosted by the SPR’s project team on Thursday, January 21, 2021, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. The open house will be available on Webex or click here for a direct link.

This open house will be a way for the community to offer input and ideas on the three design concepts, improvements to the plan, equipment adjustments, locations for site furnishings, and more.
