Hale’s Ales to pour its last pint on Saturday, hosting big garage sale to clean out brewery

Hale’s Ales will be closing this weekend, and they’re hosting a big garage sale to clean out the brewery.

Hale’s announced the closure in March, saying it’s time to move on after a difficult few years. The brewery opened nearly 40 years ago and helped pave the way for the now-booming brewery scene in Ballard.

Hale’s last day pouring pints will be Saturday, April 9, and their garage sale is planned for April 16 from noon to 5 p.m., and on April 18 and 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

They will be selling a huge array of items, including merchandise, home-brew supplies, beer to-go, glasses, artwork, furniture, kitchen and catering supplies, wine barrels, office supplies, commercial brewing supplies, games and toys, electronics, and more, they wrote in a letter to customers.

“Thanks to the friends and neighbors who have stopped by to have one last pint of Hale’s Ales beer,” they wrote in a letter to customers. “We have enjoyed reminiscing with you and hearing your Hale’s Ales stories.”
