The new apartment complex coming to the corner of 15th Ave NW and NW 85th St is now under construction after several years of planning.
The Seattle DJC reports that the excavation and shoring are mostly complete at the project site (8511 15th Ave NW). The latest application for the site was for a 7-story, 194-unit apartment with retail, office, and a restaurant on the ground floor. Parking for 92 vehicles is in the plans.
The builder/developer is now Quarterra Multifamily. As the DJC reports, Clark Barnes originally designed the current project plan for Graham Capital, which then sold to Quarterra.
The development site extends north from the northwest corner of 15th and 85th to the former Pizza Hut location.
