Woodland Park Players to raise money for Seattle schools with Monty Python’s “Spamalot!”

A local theater company is opening a production of Monty Python’s Spamalot! to raise money for Seattle Public Schools.

The Woodland Park Players will be staging the musical at Shoreline Community College, which opens tonight, March 24. The theater company has raised $37,000 to local public schools since its inception.

“We’re inviting the Ballard community to support our schools by getting tix and bringing friends, neighbors and family along for this Monty Python satire that spares no one,”  Lynn Schnaiberg from Woodland Park Players tells My Ballard.

“The show has Ballard-Phinney connections aplenty with Ballard-Phinney area members as cast, crew, orchestra and behind the scenes. Our producer, Linda Joss, has deep West Woodland Elementary ties.”

Spamalot! is adapted from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail and opened on Broadly in 2005.

There will be five performances:

  • Friday, March 24 @ 7:30pm
  • Saturday, March 25 @7:30pm
  • Sunday, March 26 @2pm
  • Friday, March 31 @7:30pm
  • Saturday, April 1 @7:30pm

Tickets are available online.
