Three injured in Ballard shooting early Friday near Leary Triangle

Seattle Police are investigating a shooting that injured three people in Ballard.

Police say that they responded to the 900 block of NW Leary Way just after 12 a.m. Friday to reports of several people shot.

Officers found two victims with multiple gunshot wounds—they began emergency care until Seattle Fire arrived to take over. The third victim walked away from the scene and declined medical assistance, SPD says.

The victims included a 20-year-old female with life-threatening injuries and a 58-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries. Medics transported both to Harborview Medical Center.

SPD says detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will lead the investigation, and that anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
