Bad Jimmy’s Brewery in Frelard has a new identity: It’s now called Showboat, a sports pub and event venue with a full bar.
Bad Jimmy’s opened 10 years ago at 4358 Leary Way NW and has had a steady presence ever since. In late June, they moved out the old brewing equipment used to make Bad Jimmy’s beer. In its place they’ll put in new floors, more seating, an indoor stage, and a small kitchen.
Now that they’ve morphed into Showboat, they’ll have cocktails alongside local beers from other breweries. Their shows will range from burlesque to stand-up comedy, singer-songwriters, and full bands.
Showboat is dog-friendly and all ages (aside from a few 18+ shows). Many of their shows are free and open to the public.
“We are excited to be growing our sports programming and love being a part of a family-friendly place to catch a game,” they write on their new website.
