Loyal Heights Community Center to host Tasty Tunes fundraiser to support low-income families

Next weekend, the Tasty Tunes fundraiser is returning to Loyal Heights to support low-income families’ access to childcare.

Tasty Tunes will be at the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St) on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be food trucks on site all day from Secret Sausage, Erv’s Barbecue, and Dom’s Southern Style Banana Pudding.

Expect live music from DJ Billy J, Off the Hook, School of Rock, and Steven Wang, plus face painting, lawn games, and raffles.

And, of course, beer and cider from several local breweries including Reuben’s, Wheelie Pop, Great Notion, and Yonder Cider. The event is free, but tickets to the beer garden are $20 per person ($35 for a couple) if you buy tickets online, or $25 per person ($40 per couple) if you buy them at the event.

All proceeds from the beer sales will go to Loyal Heights’ scholarship fund to provide low-income families access to childcare and recreational programs and classes at the community center.
