Update: We’ve learned that the new restaurant opening is called Shawarma Prince. Owner Hussein Almuti said the opening date hasn’t yet been set, but we’ll update you with new information when it becomes available.
Original: The Subway at 5300 15th Ave NW appears to be turning into a Mediterranean restaurant.
The signs on the former Subway location advertise gyros, shawarma, and kebabs.
Subway closed permanently in April, moving over to 4530 9th Ave NW.
A Subway employee tells My Ballard that the new owners had anticipated opening within a few months.
