A man was killed and three other people injured in a Ballard shooting on Thursday.
Seattle Police are investigating the shooting which they say is related but happened at two different locations in Ballard.
The first response was at 3:30 p.m. when police received a report of a shooting at the Golden Gardens dog park. Police arrived and found two adults with gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, one of the adults, a 44-year-old man, died at the scene, and the other, a 25-year-old man, was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
After the first shooting, police learned that two adults were injured in a vehicle at 26th Ave NW and NW Market St. SPD says police arrived to find two adults—a 50-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man—with multiple gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Harborview in serious condition. Police told the Seattle Times that they had driven away from the shooting at Golden Gardens.
Police say it’s not clear what led up to the shooting and it’s believed the two scenes are related. SPD Homicide Unit detectives are actively investigating. If you have information about the incident, call the Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.
