If you lost power last night, you’re not alone: 21,900 customers experienced outages in North Seattle Wednesday night when an underground electrical vault caught fire.
Smoke was seen coming from the vault at about 7:30 p.m. last night near Fremont Ave N and N 107th St. When firefighters arrived they reported that there was no active fire, and there were no injuries.
Seattle City Light (SCL) said crews had to disconnect power for additional customers to safely access the vault.
