The intersection of 15th Ave NW and Leary Way NW—located underneath the Leary Way Bridge—will be closed to thru traffic this weekend as construction crews perform roadway concrete work.
The closure begins at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 25, and is scheduled to end by 5 a.m. on Monday, July 28. The Ballard Bridge and Leary Way Bridge will remain open throughout the work.

During the closure:
- No through traffic or left turns will be allowed at the intersection.
- Right turns only will be permitted from all directions.
- Pedestrian access will be limited in work zones, with detour signage in place.
- Flaggers may stop vehicles to allow safe access for construction equipment.
Nearby residents and businesses should expect noise from diesel engines, construction equipment, and potential low-frequency vibrations during the work.
This work is part of the ongoing 15th Ave W/NW and Ballard Bridge Paving and Safety Project. In recent weeks, crews have completed several infrastructure upgrades, including:
- Removing and replacing expansion joints on the Leary Way Bridge deck
- Restoring and widening sidewalks beneath the Ballard Bridge
- Pouring seismic retrofit concrete for the Leary Way Bridge footings
- Sidewalk restoration along NW Market St and NW 51st St
