Ballard HolidayFest returns with new night market on Ballard Avenue

Ballard HolidayFest is coming back to downtown Ballard next month, bringing free family activities and a new nighttime market to the neighborhood on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The event runs from 2 to 8 p.m., with the main HolidayFest programming taking place from 2 to 5 p.m. at Marvin’s Garden Park. Visitors can stop by for free photos with Santa, cider, holiday treats, a tree lighting, Tomte Trail prize giveaways, live music from Swing 3PO, and other seasonal activities. Attendees hoping to meet Santa are encouraged to line up by 4:30 p.m., as he’ll depart at 5 p.m.

This year introduces the Ballard HolidayFest Market along the northern end of Ballard Avenue NW. The street will be transformed into a winter market with vendors, live music, treats from the Visit Ballard elves, a fire pit with a s’mores station, a Ballard Tomte Toss, and food and drink specials from restaurants within the event footprint.

Ballard HolidayFest is a free community event supported by the Seattle Office of Economic Development, Ballard Alliance, and volunteers from the local business community.
