The Ballard Alliance is planning a full afternoon and evening of activities for this year’s Ballard HolidayFest & Market, set for Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 8 p.m.
Marvin’s Garden and the north section of Ballard Avenue will host the event, which includes free photos with Santa, live music, treats, hot cider, and a Tomte Trail Passport drop-off bin. The Santa photo line will be open from 2 to 4:30 p.m., with photos available for download online a few days after the event.
From 2 to 8 p.m., Ballard Avenue NW from Marvin’s Garden to NW Market Street will become an outdoor holiday market featuring local businesses, food specials, live music, a “tomte toss” activity, and a community fire pit with a free s’mores-making station.
Funding for the event comes from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods’ Neighborhood Matching Fund.
