The Seahawks Victory Parade is expected to bring over 750,000 people into Seattle today, affecting transit and travel for those headed downtown.
The event will include a trophy celebration at 10 a.m. with the parade starting at 11 a.m. King County Metro is rerouting buses that serve Ballard, including the RapidRide D Line and Route 40. Both will be rerouted in both directions today (Feb 11).
Seattle Police are asking people to avoid driving into downtown Seattle today, saying in a spirited message to Seattle-ites: “DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT DRIVE INTO SEATTLE TOMORROW.”

For RapidRide D Line traveling to Ballard get on/off at:
- Stop #2370 Mercer Street & Queen Anne Avenue N (Westbound)
- Stop #14038 W Mercer Street & 3rd Avenue W (Westbound)
For RapidRide D Line to Downtown Seattle get on/off at:
- Stop #13910 W Mercer Street & 3rd Avenue W (Eastbound) The temporary stop on W Mercer Street just east of Queen Anne Avenue N (Eastbound)
Route 40
For Route 40 to Northgate get on/off at:
- Stop #26690 Westlake & 9th-Denny (Northbound)
- Stop #26715 Westlake Avenue N & Harrison Street (Northbound)
For Route 40 to Downtown Seattle get on/off at:
Stop #26645 Westlake & Thomas (Southbound) Stop #26665 Westlake & 9th-Denny(Southbound)
King County Metro says to “expect significant delays and a large number of trip cancellations” for all bus routes that serve downtown Seattle due to the parade.
