Ballard residents looking for a dermatologist have a new option for convenient, comprehensive skin care close to home. Heather Mahurin, MD, FAAD, is now seeing patients at Frontier Dermatology’s Ballard location and currently has availability for general dermatology appointments.
A Washington native who grew up in Edmonds, Dr. Mahurin has strong ties to the Pacific Northwest. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Central Washington University before completing her medical degree at the University of Washington, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She later completed her dermatology residency at the University of Washington and served as chief resident.
Dr. Mahurin provides general and medical dermatology care, helping patients address their everyday skin health needs through comprehensive evaluation, preventive dermatologic care, and individualized treatment plans. Her approach is centered on listening to patients, understanding their concerns, and helping them make informed decisions about their skin health.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Mahurin has published research in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and presented at both local and national conferences. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
